PostHog Integration

Use PostHog events and sessions as behavioral input for Oriyn.

PostHog gives Oriyn product events and sessions that can be turned into personas, patterns, and research context.

What Oriyn Reads

  • Event names, timestamps, properties, and identity fields needed to reconstruct behavior.
  • Session and replay references when available, so persona claims can be traced to examples.
  • Feature flag and product context where it helps interpret the changed surface.

Connect PostHog

  1. Open the product in the Oriyn web app.
  2. Go to Integrations and choose PostHog.
  3. Authorize Oriyn through the PostHog OAuth window and select one project.
  4. Run a sync and confirm oriyn status reports recent behavioral data.

Quality Check

If personas look thin, check whether key activation, conversion, and retention events are consistently named and associated with stable user identifiers. Oriyn can only ground personas in records it can read.
