Personas
Understand behavior-derived personas and how they drive interviews and research.
Oriyn personas are behavior-derived user cohorts with traits, confidence, assumption flags, and research behavior.
What A Persona Contains
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name and summary | A compact description of the user cohort. |
| Size estimate | How much of the user base the cohort appears to represent. |
| Traits | Recurring behaviors, needs, blockers, and value signals. |
| Confidence | How strongly the current product data supports the persona. |
| Assumption flags | Gaps or weak spots to account for before using the persona. |
How To Use Personas
- Review personas before writing a hypothesis so the change targets a real segment.
- Use connected behavior and patterns to challenge a persona claim before making a roadmap decision.
- Compare participant summaries after research to understand who benefits and who is at risk.
- Refresh personas after meaningful data changes or new user cohorts appear.

Persona interviews let teams ask a grounded persona why a workflow, feature, or message may or may not work. Use them to explore motivation and language, then use A/B research, Delphi, experiments, or playtests to evaluate a concrete product change.
