Research
Research Overview
Run persona-grounded product research before production rollout.
Oriyn research runs help teams evaluate product questions against grounded personas before a change reaches production.
Research Modes
- Interview: ask one persona a focused question.
- A/B research: compare two variants against the same product question.
- Delphi: run multi-round structured discussion across personas.
- Playtest: ask personas to complete a task on a public or staging URL.
When To Run Research
- Before building a feature that changes user behavior.
- Before moving pricing, plan gates, signup steps, activation flows, or onboarding copy.
- When a PR changes a user-facing flow and an agent needs product signal.
- When stakeholders disagree and need grounded tradeoffs.
What Happens During A Run
The question is normalized
Oriyn validates the research mode, config, product, and participant rule.
Participants are assigned
The run creates participant records for the relevant personas.
Agents complete the task
Persona-grounded agents run the interview, comparison, workshop, or playtest.
Outputs are stored
Oriyn stores structured run outputs and participant summaries for review.
Limits
Decision support, not live measurement
Research helps decide what to build or test next. It does not replace analytics, A/B testing, usability research, or judgment when the stakes require real-world validation.
